Can't send dms in game any more

Was playing champs this weekend and I just realised that dms are no longer available on my account.

I don't really use them, except to say "nice one" if someone donates a win in Champs or "too easy" vs someone that griddy's after every goal if I win.

But it's bothering me enough to ask if this is something with the new patch (on Nintendo Switch) or if my account has been chat banned or something like that?

Anyone know how I can find out?
