Bluescreen issues are outside of the scope of support we provide here as they generally indicate an issue outside of our games.
Some general troubleshooting steps:
- Make sure all available Windows Updates and hardware driver updates are installed
- Run System File Checker to ensure the integrity of your Windows System files: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
- Perform a clean boot before starting the game: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135
Thanks.
I also have a thread opened on this https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/PC-shuts-down-when-exiting-FC-25/m-p/14116295/highlight/false#M9627
I do not belive that this is an issue "outside of the game" as it's the only game or program that this happens on. It is entirely due to and becasue of FC 25. A quick google search revealed that this was also a common problem with FC 24 and Asus boards. I have an Asus board, and i'll bet that @KungFuPingu also does.
I already followed all of your suggested steps and it did not fix the issue.
This really needs to be looked at by EA.
@KungFuPingu If you're still having this problem, it can be fixed by enabling Core Isolation in security settings. See here https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Blue-Screen-of-Death-after-closing-BF2042-FIX-HAS-BEEN-FOUND/td-p/13088702/page/24
You might not have that option available (I didn't) in which case you'll need to enable Virtulisation in your BIOS. Once done, it might not turn on because of a conflict with driver pxhlpa64.sys. This driver seems to be to do with DVD writing and can be disabled by renaming it and a little registry edit, see here https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/184600-pxhlpa64-sys-preventing-core-isolation-3.html#post2472112.
After that, Core Isolation can be turned on and no more BSOD on exiting the game.
