D-pad movement issue

I’m a D-pad player but I have been having issues with playing and enjoying FC24/25 games for months now.

firstly my players tend to move away from the ball and also not challenging opponents. And players don’t run as fast as they should, which makes opponents to quickly meet up with me and get the ball away from me.

Also, when passing the ball, I can't control the player instantly, it takes a moment before I am able to control the player. Which makes it very easy for my opponents to get the ball away from me.

Please I need help with this urgently as I have been going through this for over 7 months now.
