EA FC 25 controller not working

I am using an Stadia controller, works with every other game but for some reason on this one it has all the buttons switched (as a bug, not as a bad configuration). Running Steam on Windows 11

I've seen other cases of PC players unable to use their controllers (Xbox, PS4, PS5) and all the solutions proposed just don't work (such as disable steam input for example). It is really disappointing that you are not able to do this basic stuff right, there is no way this didn't jump during alpha and beta tests
