Re: Washed-out colors in HDR mode (PC, dual monitor setup)

Hey EA team,

I’m having an HDR issue in EA FC 25 on PC and wanted to report it here.

I use two monitors. My main monitor is HDR capable (ViewSonic VX2758A-2K-PRO-3, 1440p, 165Hz, HDR10) and my second monitor is SDR (Rampage RM-344, no HDR). My GPU is an NVIDIA RTX 3070 and I’m using the EA App on Windows 11. HDR is enabled in Windows.

The problem is:
When I launch EA FC 25, the colors look washed out and dull. This happens in both fullscreen and borderless windowed mode.

Here’s something strange:
If I click on something on my second monitor or move the game there, the colors go back to normal for a second. But as soon as I focus on the game again, the colors get washed out on the HDR monitor.

If I disable the second monitor, everything looks fine and HDR works properly. So it seems like this issue is related to having two displays where one supports HDR and the other does not.

I tested other games like this and they work fine in HDR. Only EA FC 25 has this issue.

Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

-Enabled HDR in Windows

-Switched between fullscreen and borderless windowed

-Set RGB / Full Range / 10 bpc in NVIDIA Control Panel

-Clean installed GPU drivers

-Played the game with only the HDR monitor connected (no issue in that case)Tried launching with -UseHDR parameter (but I’m using EA App so it didn’t work)

In short, when I have two monitors connected (one HDR, one SDR), EA FC 25 makes HDR look dull and washed out. If I unplug the second monitor, the problem disappears.

Could you please report this to the dev team?
If there’s any fix or workaround I haven’t tried, I’d really appreciate it.
