EA FC 25 Inputdelay & Shutter Fix | Gameplay Update Jan 25

Resetting Your NVIDIA Driver
The first step is to reset your NVIDIA driver. To do this, use the DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) software to completely uninstall your current driver. Once that’s done, you can install a fresh or stable version of the driver.

Fixing the Anti-Cheat Stutter Issue

  • Go to the Program Files on your PC and locate the AC folder inside the EA folder.

  • In this folder, you’ll find four files related to the anti-cheat program. Delete all of them.

  • Open the EA App and use the Repair Game option for FC25.

  • Once the repair process is complete, you’ll get the most recent, stable version of the anti-cheat program.

  • Right-click each of the files, go to Properties, and set them to Read-only to prevent any changes.

Simple NVIDIA Control Panel Tweaks for FC25

  1. Turn off V-Sync – This reduces input lag for a smoother experience.

  2. Set Maximum Pre-Rendered Frames to 1 – This ensures better responsiveness during gameplay.

  3. Set Texture Filtering to High Performance – This prioritizes performance over visual quality.

  4. Change Power Management Mode to Prefer Maximum Performance – This ensures your GPU runs at its peak during the game.

Controller Settings Changes for FC25

Make these two simple adjustments in your controller settings for a better gameplay experience:

  1. Switch to Tactical Defending:

    • Advanced Defending has been heavily nerfed, so switching back to Tactical Defending will give you more consistent results.

  2. Turn Off Reaction Time

    • This helps address player-switching delays, making transitions between players much smoother.

Turn off GSYNC, VSYNC, Ingame VSYNC to Reduce Input Delay

Optimized FPS Settings for GTX Cards in FC25, Edit Setup.ini files in Appdata

If you’re using a GTX card, most of these GPUs typically deliver FPS below 75. To ensure a smooth and consistent experience:

  1. Refresh Rate - Your monitor Hz

  2. Frame Rate Lock the FPS – 60

  3. Use Windowed Borderless mode – It offers better compatibility and reduces screen tearing.

  4. Turn off G-Sync and V-Sync – Disabling these features minimizes input lag and enhances responsiveness.

Optimized FPS Settings for RTX Cards in FC25, Edit Setup.ini files in Appdata

I tested FC25 on two GPUs, the RTX 3060 and RTX 4060, and found a stable FPS range of 105–115. Based on these results, I recommend locking the frame rate to 90 FPS for smoother and more stable performance.

  1. Refresh Rate - Your monitor Hz

  2. Frame Rate Lock the FPS – No Limit FPS ( use Rivatuner to lock fps)

  3. Use Fullscreen mode

  4. Turn off G-Sync and V-Sync – Disabling these features minimizes input lag and enhances responsiveness.

Using RivaTuner to Lock Frame Rate in FC25

In our previous video, we locked the frame rate using the NVIDIA Control Panel. This time, we’ll use RivaTuner, a dedicated tool for precise frame rate control.

  1. Download and Install RivaTuner – Make sure to get the latest version (link is in the description).

  2. Open the software and go to the Frame Limiter Settings.

  3. Set the Frame Limiter Mode to NVIDIA Reflex instead of Async for better responsiveness and reduced latency.

If you’re facing input delay or stutter lag, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

  1. Use DDU Software for a Clean Driver Install

    • Uninstall your current GPU driver using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and reinstall a fresh or stable version of the driver.

  2. Delete the FC25 Folder in AppData

    • Navigate to the AppData folder on your PC, locate the FC25 folder, and delete it.

  3. Create a New Profile In-Game

    • Launch FC25 and create a new profile. This resets any corrupted settings that may be causing the delay.

Solution for Laptop Users Facing Dual GPU Frame Drop Issue

We’ve finally found a fix for the dual GPU frame drop problem on laptops! 🎉

To resolve this:

  • Connect your laptop to an external monitor.

  • This method ensures that your main NVIDIA GPU handles the game rendering directly, bypassing the integrated GPU High Usage

Important Tip for Dual Monitor Users

If you’re using dual monitors, ensure both monitors have the same refresh rate (Hz).

  • If the refresh rates are different, disconnect the monitor with the lower Hz and play on a single monitor.

  • Keeping a lower Hz monitor connected can cause significant input delay because the game locks the FPS to match the refresh rate of the lowest Hz monitor.

Avoid this issue for a smoother gaming experience! 🎮

  • Good afternoon, is there a more detailed setup for the 5600x -3060 gtx? If you have a 3060, can you attach screenshots of the Nvidia panel? Turn off FreeSyncc on the monitor?
