EA FC25 PLAYER STUCK!!!

Is anyone else having their players either stand there with the ball or run away to the other side of the field uncontrollably when playing rivals? I literally can't play rivals because my players will not move or do what I want them to do. I thought I didn't have the right settings so I went through and adjusted them multiple times so that it should run smoothly but it's still not working. Rush and squad battles seem to work fine with the occasional glitch. I'm on PC and use an Xbox controller, could it be that that's causing it? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!
