Evolution saying expired despite having time left to apply

When I go to apply 'The Little Things' and 'Advance Forward++' evolutions from Rewards and Costmetics, I am shown a message saying that this evolution has expired despite them having 23 hours and 4 d...

Hello pr0dge​ 

The rewards and cosmetics evolutions that do not have an unlock within timer are still displaying an expires in timer. This means that you must unlock AND complete the evolution in that time. All the best to you!

For those 2 comestic and reward evos its not letting me apply them despite them still having time left prior to their expiry. Its less than the 7 day difference between unlock within and expire times of regular evos but I'm sure I should still be able to apply them as you say
