I know your connection works normally with other games, and I don’t think there’s necessarily a problem with the internet connection itself. However, there may be something in the connection path between your PC and FC 25 that is interfering with the game and causing the crash. That’s what we’re trying to narrow down.
Please try the following:
- Change your PC’s DNS. You can do this through the TCP/IP settings in Windows. Microsoft has instructions here: Microsoft Support. You can try Google’s public DNS:
- Primary: 8.8.8.8
- Secondary: 8.8.4.4
- Reset the Windows network stack. Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run these commands one at a time:
netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns - Then restart the PC.
- If possible, try connecting the PC directly to the router with an Ethernet cable instead of Wi-Fi. This will help us determine whether the issue is related specifically to the Wi-Fi connection or adapter.
