fc25 starting game with anticheat crash

Can we get a non-lemming to help us? Is that possible at EA these days?

I bought the game 1 day ago via STEAM. Managed to play it for about 4 hours. It was in offline mode. So I thought, reload it, maybe go online mode. BIG MISTAKE.

The game refuses to launch, and my entire PC hardlock freezes. I have to kill power to reboot. No other game gives me problems. I narrowed this down to ea anticheat disaster. So, I followed every tech step, reinstall, verify, ea anticheat repair/reinstall/certificates, etc etc. Nothing worked. PC just hardlocks. I reformatted my PC. reinstalled FC 25. got an error popup "there is a problem with your PC" , and then, hardlock. EVER SINGLE TIME.

I disabled hyperV. I installed the certificates. Nothing works.

Its plainly obvious you have a disaster on your hands selling the game through steam, forcing us to load EA app, then launching your anticheat, even for people like me who only care about offline play.

I spent $70 for a product I was able to play for 4 hours that now hardlocks my PC everytime I try to launch it because anticheat/ea app/steam is such a clusterf***

Steam refuses to refund me. You all just ripped me off out of $70. To say I am upset, and unbelievably disappointed in the terrible support options we have, the utter disaster that is your code, and the entire mess that EA is becoming may be the understatement of the month.

I've dug around the web and found numerous similar cases, and it seems no one at EA cares to help us as long as you pull down those dollars for products that do not work. I've basically written off the money and any hope of ever playing any EA product ever again. No one needs the canned tech support replies folks.

what we need is quality products, patches, and support. I only play FIFA offline anyhow, so ea anticheat is just more crappy bloatware for me, and now I cant even play my soccer game. It also managed to break Mass Effect, Fifa 15, and Dragon Age Inquisition.
