game crashing when goals scored in squad battles

my friend and i have had our games crash multiple times in the middle of a squad battle game right after we score. it takes away the points we earn for that match and it keeps happening. We're both on PS5 and is there a fix for it? its not an internet connectivity issue since the game itself just crashes.
