Voice Chat is not working on Fifa 25. This was also the case on Fifa 24 and was reported several times. After further self-investigations it transpires that the game is automatically connecting to the controller microphone with no option to change the audio input and output to a headset. This is incredibly frustrating especially for multiplayer modes where you should be able to choose your headset as microphone input. Having said this i dont even think the controller microphone settings are working either because im not seeing no microphones during gameplay or hearing anyone else talking. The EA connect which runs in the background appears to automatically connect you to your controller microphone and there is no way of changing this. The PS5 settings have been set as headset for the microphone and audio output yet the game only automatically connects you to the controller microphone with no option to change it. Even when you change PS5 settings to controller as microphone input and audio output you cant talk to anyone and nobody else is talking so effectively your unable to communicate with players unless you start a seperate party out of the game altogether. This issue needs to be prioritised and sorted immediately because this has been long overdue and wasnt even working on the last fifa despite it been reported several times. Get your act together EA otherwise your future sales will dramatically drop and if this is not resolved soon i will be seeking a full refund.

@Xx-Brad_HTFC-xX I have the same issue. While in-game, I can switch to team chat, but I'm unable to hear or speak to others. In the past 10 hours of playing, I briefly saw a small microhpone icon next to my name while I was talking for one whole game, but I'm not sure if anyone could hear me. Now, the icon has dissapeared, and i can't figure out what's wrong.

When I try to play co-ops on rivals, it will not let me accept an invite request. It keeps saying error. I can send him one and he can join my party, but I cannot join his. Is it because I am constantly saying I am in my own party and if so, how the heck do I get out of my own party. I leave it when we are all playing rush together, but somehow, I am back in it by myself again. Please Help!

@Sterbank329 This could ber a mixture of a few things. Are you party chatting up in the game, through your Friends list in like the EA app or Steam or the console side? If you want to leave your own party, when you quit or finish the game, and its still there, sound like it is that platform chat that is keeping you in. If you quit the game, it should quit the chat. If not go into the platforms chat and end the chat there.

I am losing my cool

I cant seem to leave my current party chat in FC25 and its not allowing me to play with my friend.

When I try to join it gives me party is no longer active error

This issue is ridiculous I can’t believe they still haven’t sorted the game chat, how are you supposed to meet new players and interact with people, this is literally nearly 2 years still not sorted it and EA just don’t care at all, I’ve looked everywhere to try find out why this doesn’t work and there’s nothing. It just ruins the game for me when playing rivals and not been able speak to my opponent, might as well just play squad battles it’s a joke.

Still happening in January, strange because it’s only the cross play that’s not working, between PlayStation is fine but my friend on Xbox, we can’t chat etc on there, was working fine at the start of the game, what the hells going on???
