The problem is the servers & their anti-cheat. On PC, the anti-cheat causes huge delays and stutters. It's likely implemented poorly because the game client does too much. Resolving that would take years. I doubt we will ever see it fixed at this point. They will keep bolting features onto their technical debt until it collapses.
The anti cheat has not been fully resolved. I've noticed pc gamers have a tendency of long pauses before the game carries on, and in that time my games from descent game speeds to absolute lag and less responsive gameplay. There has been no feedback since highlighting that in one of my forum articles.
But this is the problem with EA every year, fixes and updates adds strains on consoles and pc platforms, the demand increases resulting in poor output performance. My old Xbox One S fried itself from overheating, and that was just off playing FC24 and then FIFA23, and I'm noticing the same issue with my PS5 pro, after 12games, it feels stupid hot.
So in essence, these updates along with the dumb servers are not fixing anything but becoming a costly exercise.
