Match Compensation for EA Server Issues

There are a number of posts mentioning the frequency of UT server issues. I was recently kicked off of a Squad Battles match with the "unable to connect" message as though my internet went out. However, I was still connected. Upon attempting to re-enter UT from the main menu, I was given a "cannot connect due to high traffic, please try again later" message. This persisted for about 4 minutes.

Given that the connectivity was on EA's side due to this high usage, I do not know why I now see a 0-3 loss for that Squad Battles opponent. I would understand it if it were a connection issue on my side, but when it is EA's problem, then I should at least be able to restart the match. The same should apply for online modes like Rivals and Champs. I am certain that I would have lost a 2x win streak in Rivals if the high traffic error happened then.

I am writing to insist that EA work to address whether mid-match disconnects are caused by user- or server-side issues. In cases when it is due to poor service from EA, those matches should not be registered as played and disconnected. This clearly could influence rewards for those with even the best low-latency setups. There is nothing I or anyone could have done, but now I may as well just stop with Squad Battles for the week since I will not be getting the rewards that I should have earned.
