Ongoing Issues with Gameplay Performance in EA FC 25 on PlayStation 5

Dear EA Support Team,

I am reaching out to request your assistance with an ongoing gameplay performance issue in EA FC 25 on my PlayStation 5, which remains unresolved despite extensive troubleshooting on my end. Below, I’ve outlined the steps I’ve taken and the specific details of my setup to provide a complete picture.

Overview of Issue

In online matches, I frequently experience issues such as delayed player responsiveness, unresponsive controls, and sluggish gameplay. It feels as though the players are executing previous inputs or instructions, which severely impacts the competitiveness and enjoyment of the game. This issue occurs even with low ping, suggesting it may not solely be related to my internet speed.

My Setup and Configuration

Connection: Wired connection with NAT Type 2, using Telekom’s 2000 Mbps download and 1000 Mbps upload fiber optic service in Hungary.

Router and Modem: ASUS AX3000 RT-AX57 router (QoS configured, DMZ enabled for the PlayStation 5), connected to a Telekom modem via PPPoE with MTU and MRU set to 1492.

Display: Samsung LS25BG400EUXEN NVIDIA G-Sync monitor with FreeSync Premium enabled.

Steps I’ve Taken So Far

1. Modem and Router Adjustments

• Rebooted the modem and router multiple times.

• Tried adjusting QoS settings, set bandwidth to 1000 Mbps for download/upload.

• Enabled UPnP and later disabled QoS, finding slight improvements but persistent issues.

• Connected PlayStation 5 to the DMZ for improved stability.

2. Network Troubleshooting

• Adjusted MTU values on the PlayStation, which only led to inconsistent gameplay.

• Tried different DNS servers, including Google DNS, which seemed stable only during early hours.

• Tested multiple VPN services (CyberGhost, ExpressVPN), connecting to various low-ping servers in Germany, including Frankfurt and Nuremberg. These did not resolve the issue fully and caused further drops in speed.

3. ISP Communication

• Worked with Telekom to investigate network performance. They informed me of known issues between Telekom and Cloudflare servers, but no solution has been provided.

4. Other Details

• I have tested multiple nearby VPN servers, which reduced the download/upload speed significantly.

• My router CPU is not overloaded.

• EA FC is the only game where I experience these issues; other games run smoothly.

Current Status

Despite all these efforts, gameplay performance remains inconsistent. Matches sometimes seem better, but frequently my players feel slow and unresponsive, affecting my ability to compete. I believe that I have exhausted most options on my end, and I am hoping you can provide further guidance or investigate server-side issues that might be impacting my experience.

I am a longtime fan of EA FC, and it is frustrating to face such ongoing issues. I appreciate any assistance you can provide to help resolve this matter.
