Re: Black screen on EAFC25

Hello everyone

I have the following issue:

Every time I try to start EA FC 25, it crashes the whole PC. I can reach the main menu, but it just instantly crashes my PC. I have been able to start a kick-off game in the beginning (the game would normally crash before the ending), but even that is impossible now. So I believe that the issue is not related to any of the game modes.

I am not only getting a a black screen, almost the whole PC is dead. All of my peripherals loose connection to the PC / turn off (including monitor and keyboard + mouse). Also pressing the turn-off-button has no effect, the only thing I can do is switch off the power socket. Because of this, the game is totally unplayable and I have no idea why. I had no issues when playing EA FC 24 before.

I tried the following things:

Updating drivers
Updating Windows
Clean installation of Windows
Re-installation
Launching in admin mode (EA FC 25 and EA app)
Disabling overlays (I start through the EA app, no Steam)
Repairing game files
Repairing EA app files
Creating a new save file
Perform a clean boot before starting the game
Verifying Windows system files

I repeated the steps after the clean install
The game is installed on the main storage, no other hard drives/SSDs are used
Also I exceed the minimum requirements
The monitor is connected to the GPU

Having a similar issue, but i cant even load in after playing once for a few hours, anticheat seems to hardlock my entire PC.
Given that it worked just fine, any solution involving secureboot, windows reinstall etc seems to not be viable. I'm starting to wonder if EA got hacked and people are using other peoples keys, leading to these issues.
I tried every solution, nothing works, even after a reformat i have the same problems, I think this is an EA App/anticheat issue. I cant even play my other EA games anymore.

How did you check anticheat? I couldn´t find any information about that yet, so maybe this is causing the problem.
Also one more thing that I looked into was updating the BIOS. With an updated BIOS, I was able to play one game in kick off mode, but then it just crashed the PC again. Maybe this is something that could help you.

I fixed this by removing my PCi sata extender card. ea anticheat scans for harddisks and somehow cant handle these cards. if you have any odd hardware in your PC, trying stripping it down to a minimal hardware build and see if that fixes it. EA did not help me at all.
