Re: Don’t have necessary permissions to advance

I dont want to defend EA by any means here as this is unacceptable, not being able to play for 2 weeks now,but here is my take on this matter :

I am pretty sure the issue is just for those of us who have the geme digitally as I tested on my ps5 with a disc version of the game and it works without any issues.

Codes were pretty much at fault here especially since Sony added regions and if the code is in a different region then it makes sense to not have “ necessary permissions “ .

For example, we are given a code for Europe, but UK needs an en-GB one and me for example, I need one for eastern europe as I am from romania ( this is so stupid, I know, but it is what it is ).

My point here being that we either need new codes or for Sony to remove the region based codes.

if we were to be given new codes, we need Sony to provide that for EA,therefore the ball is in Sony’s court,not EA. 

it is also a fact that EA cannot blame Sony or Microsoft for their incompetence as it will be a felony, so they had to come up with excuses like “ this title update will adress the issue “ when in fact they knew it will do nothing , as we all saw. They basically lied to us because they had no other choice to save face, and now they are in deep *.

  • @Bandy301 I do not think this is the case. Technically, user cannot claim a code from a different region, therefore meaning that the region validation is done BEFORE assigning the game to the account.

    Tried again just now. I've restored the license on my PS5 again and now the game is booting into a Trial mode. When trying to upgrade I get the following error: "The store is not available at the moment. Please try again later."

    Technically yes, but if there is a mix-up between sony and ea, or sony made the regions after they generated the codes, or also if you can claim a RO code, with a RO account but that code is tagged as europe and not as eastern europe, if you might still be able to claim it because Romania is an european country.

    this is just an example. Anyway.. the issue is somewhere between sony and EA.. it’s definetly something with the codes and not the accounts themselves as I said previously, I was able to play the game with a disc version.

    I tried restoring license for the 10th time i think, and now it worked!

    edit: just trial version, cant upgrade because “ the store Is unavailable “

  • Yep, I ve tried right now and I’m in the same situation, it worked but just as a trial version where you cannot do anything, not even upgrade the version. Maybe they re still working on the issue

    now i tried on PS4, nothing changed, still the same problem.

    I confirm that from my end on PS5 I restored the license and now I'm in a trial version. Trying to press on upgrade returns the following error: "The store is not available at the moment. Please try again later."

  • yup same for me. Restore licenses, and you get get into the game but cant do anything other than pressing "upgrade"...

    Hope this is getting fixed very soon now that you are getting closer hopefully to solve the problem... Its first weekend league and we still can't play!!
