Re: Missing languages (both text and commentary) over PC version FC25

Just to clarify, does it mean that despite selecting the correct language on Steam during installation, the game interface and subtitles are still unavailable in the game?

@EA_Pulsar Yes, I am making the right choices, but the game is not in Turkish.

@EA_PulsarI do have this also on EA APP, even thought the languages showed as part of the purchase process

So if the game is somehow limited by the region you buy, to the languages you are able to see this is misleading information from your store, also as mentioned over the thread many people would have decided to buy in a different region to make sure to get a specific language.

Why are you marking the topic as solved? Our problem is not solved? I chose Turkish when installing the game. Only Turkish when the game first opened. After that, the Turkish option disappeared. There are all language options except Turkish. I did all the operations correctly. You have a large player base in Turkey, I don't think you want to lose that.

I’m an italian living in Japan so i assume mi region is japan

When i bought the game in the ea app and steam a lot of languages was shown, btw there was bunch of languages but not Italian or Japanese 

(English, Mexico Spanish, Brazil Portuguese, Taiwan Chinese, French, korean, arabic)

Italian is shown playable, windows eleven register is it_IT and steam game settings are setted in Italian, but when I start the game Italian isn’t showed and selectable.

I choose to refund the game because isn’t possible that 2 years ago I could play fifa 23 in Italian on ea app, 

and this year I spend like 90 euros in a game that shows Italian but i can’t play in Italian.

it doesn’t make sense.

i found out that if you redeem the ultimate edition pack (the extra pack, of the ultimate edition) the game change the language pack, but i prefered to don’t take the risk 

I don’t want to waste my money in something that isn’t the way is promised

It took me several hours on researching the solution or try to contact ea or steam

and steam told me I should ask to ea

but the ea chat isn’t possible to be reached.

i wanted to play a game that i paid for, but it took me only stress.

While we continue to investigate, I wanted to double check some information that may be helpful. 

- Could you please verify if you're able to select your preferred language during the game's installation on Steam?* ( see the screenshot below.)

- Do you install your game in default location? 
 
- Is your Steam account registered in the same region as your current location?

- Are you using an active VPN on your PC while purchasing or installing the game?

Hi @EA_Pulsar Just making also sure you saw my reply, also as the one that started the thread 🙂

I feel you are only focusing into Steam at the moment, just want to make it clear the issue is also on the EA APP, and maybe what I want to get clarification from EA's side is why, if languages are limited somehow by region... in the purchase process this is not clear, and all languages are shown as avaliable? That's probably the first pointer in here that would like to get a solution.

So maybe that's a good point now to start from there, second if you go and check my last post, where I showed the screenshot of avaliable languages, can clearly show to you that there seems to be a clear issue there.

Another clear example, I have a Spanish friend living in the US, and he wanted to play the game in Spanish from Spain, but is not avaliable that option also in US only Latam Spanish, so everything points out that a lot of the issues are coming from some "region language lock" but is just not clear over the sales process, at this point all of us that have bought the game under the assumption that we will get all the languages are not getting that, pretty much it can be considered false advertisement, and there should be some way to fix this for everyone that bought under that assumption. (Maybe EA rolling out an update so EVERY language will be avaliable as shown in the purchase process)

Hope this is clear, and if you require some more info we are more than happy to bring the needed info.

PS: I also believe that marking this as "solved" might give the wrong impression, and just to clarify as the original poster there is no clear solution yet for this.

Question for everybody here on PC: can you actually choose other commentary languages? For me the option is greyed out. Was also the case in FC24. I'd like all the existing commentary languages to choose from, I used to change them to the country my career was in for emersion.

This suggests that other languages are available for download. Shouldn't be too hard to make them available as ad-ons.

@Raindog42-manual the same for me: the commentary language option is greyed out.

I am actually confused why these simple questions are so difficult to answer. I am a German living in Singapore. Same story. Prior purchase on EPLAY PC Platform , German language is advertised but when selecting language during install German isn’t available nor is German available inside the game. Btw commentary is greyed out and cannot be changed either. Same already happened last years but EA doesn’t care. So what’s the simple workaround. All these comments are tru EA is misleading their customers but do they actually care about it????
