Can you tell us the date (MM/DD/YYYY) that you saw the bug? 20/09/2024
What time did you see the bug? (HH:MM AM/PM) 12:30
What is your time zone? EAT - GMT + 3:00
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try using d pad to dribble/control player movement in any game mode with competitive game settings
What happens when the bug occurs? The player knocks the ball like it’s a right stick flick
What should be happening instead? Control of the ball and turn accordingly

The bug is most likely affecting all players who control player movement using the d-pad. I use the d-pad to move my player. When I change directions when dribbling or receiving a pass, the player knocks the ball or flicks the ball in the input direction. 

this needs to be fixed immediately!!

    Same is happening with me while I'm moving the player to left side using left arrow and this happening via PS5 console

    Yep D-pad player here and I am having the same problem on PS5. I am not going to play the game until this is fixed. Also, when passing the ball, I can't control the player instantly, it takes a moment before I am able to control the player.

    @60bd061858efba33 D-pad veteran here. I have used D-pad since 2014, and can reach the 16W in Weekend League. However, FC 25 really annoyed me that the D-pad movement is completely unplayable.

    Please fix it immediately, there is still lot of D-pad players here.

    Hey, i used to play with arrows on my pad, but on FC 25 it's impossible. When i change it to arrows players with ball kick the ball a little up, when i change the direction of running. It's impossible to use control dribbling with that (R1). Also when i use arrows it block the guy with they ball. Do u have any solution of that? Cause i guess i tried everything...

    Same issue, once the player has the ball just walk and then change direction to flick the ball, no need to press any other button, any 90°/180° turn walking or running causes the issue

    Please EA fix the Dpad problem everyone is complaining about , the player always flicks up the ball when I press the up dpad button. I paid 135 CAD for early access to get a head start , but the game is unplayable right now. Please fix ASAP pls

    @60bd061858efba33THANK YOU FOR REPORTING THIS! YES, I TRIED IT USING THE ANALOG AS WELL AND IT DOES THE SAME. SORRY FOR ALL CAPS BUT I'M FRUSTRATED!

    I also believe that it is beyond embarrassing to launch a version that's unplayable 🙂))) JUST SAYING EA 🙂)))))) WE ARE PAYING HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS

    @60bd061858efba33 Yes please,fix this bug,it’s like when I turn to other directions it knocks the ball away,I paid so much money for early access and I can’t play the game properly

    We've passed it on to the team for investigation.

    Sharing these steps from @Zizouu97, @mehdiiraqui, and @Hicham9900 that seem to be helping some folks here. Thank you!!!

    1- go to any Kick-Off match then open your joystick settings.

    2- turn the settings from CUSTOM to CLASSIC, and save it as it is.

    3- Close the settings and just move any player user the new settings.

    4- Re-open the joystick settings and adjust it as you like, and save it 🙂)

    Now Congratulations you can use the arrows perfectly

    Yes this is unacceptable, I paid extra in order to play the game early and I am unable to play the game due to this issue. Please fix this as a matter of urgency EA.

    @EA_Hux heres the problem , the up D-Pad button has been made to flick up the ball when you hold it. That function is also for the R- analog when you press it down. Please pass it on to the team.

    Please fix this i’m having the same issue it’s flicking the ball when i press the up arrow in the dpad. Unplayable!
