Re: Stuttering on PC after the Update?

⚠️EA is officially saying that they don't care.⚠️

The Problem is not that the new update did not fix the issue, It did not even try to fix it. No efforts were made to do some thing about it

  • No responses to this thread for over a week
  • Not a single tweet, message or whatever from EA about this issue
  • No compensation
  • No refunds allowed
  • Spending money on a Game that stops working in the first two months is not a proper reason to refund or fix your Game, this is the official support answer when requesting refunds btw.)

I am doubting that this will ever get fixed.

    @maksiulas2 I'd be happy with a refund honestly, I'll search what is possible to do... If anybody knows anything say it, all help is appreciated.

    Yes going for refunds is the best way in my opinion, I have seen on other forums like most of you that when they have had an issue with Anticheat in games like Apex and BF it remains for some time, they won't fix and certainly won't rollback so I dont plan on waiting around at least 4 weeks maybe longer,  just had a game of solitaire was smooth as butter 😀

    Guys its a bug in the anti cheat. Its annoying that its not fixed but talking about suing them is insane. A fix will come. The more actual investigation on this people can do will help the process. File actual bugs. No one is suing.

    I Just uninstalled the current AC and reinstalled and got a newer modified by date on the DLL files. Testing now.


    EDIT. Newer AC files made no difference.

    @TheMrZoopsImagine coming in on page 175 of the thread and acting like you're breaking new ground by reinstalling the AC and talking about more investigation.

    @TheMrZoops A fix will come? This is not a story mode offline game that we can all just not play for a month and then get back to it like nothing happened. Not being able to play the game for such a long time makes the game useless at this point going forward, no matter if a fix will or will not come. The issue is known and the players gave more than enough data and wasted a lot of their own private time to get to the root of the problem, with EA being almost un-responsive the whole period. No one should modify his PC with uninstalling anti-cheat, change OS settings etc. in order to fix a bug that should be fixed by EA

    @ptrToPtr I agree with you. But it doesn't affect everyone, so trying to troubleshoot the issue and find the cause is more beneficial than everyone in here shouting that they will never buy an EA game again or threatening to sue. Its embarassing. Act like you've played video games before and try to actually help the solution.

    @TheMrZoops They don't even come here and they (and you as their defense lawyer apparently) don't really care that PC players have problems, for them is even better, they're hoping that PC players buy a console and buy the game again, more money... Maybe for you it's not, but money is hard to earn, and I don't like to spend money on something that I can't use because of a issue that they created... So yeah, embarassing is defending a company that is kidding with our face.

    @TheMrZoops As I said, at this point more than enough data has been sent to EA by players who spent their own private time trying to get to the root cause of the issue. We do not work for EA, EA work for us, I think you forgot that. This is not a minor issue, if they don't know how to fix the issue for now, the only solution is to roll-back to the previous version of the anti-cheat applicaiton, but they don't do that. This, with the lack of communication from EA regarding such a serious issue is what make players angry.

    @RuslanB I set the files to read only which did successfully keep them on the 20.11.24 versions during gameplay but the stuttering was still there. Is there a way you know of to grab the older AC files instead of newer?

    Just checked this method, but still when EAAntiCheat launches the game it renames these new files (from 20.11.2024) and adds the old ones (from 14.11.2024) by adding "_b"...

    By the way, here is a screenshot of what happens when new files are set to read-only attribute before launching the game.
    As you can see on it, the new AC files have not only a different modification date, but also a different size, ie something in the AC files from 20.11.2024 definitely changed, but the game at startup forcibly overwrites them with old ones....

    @RuslanB Yes they are definitely different files, but that's strange. My directory didn't add the _b files and kept the 20/11 files in tact. I kept refreshing the directory multiple times.

    did you delete the cache files for AC which i believe are in a seperate folder? 

    Also spoke to chat on EA Live the usual false promises of they are looking into it.

    With the help of various manipulations I managed to make it so that the new Anti-cheat files were not replaced by the old ones. And yes - it did not improve anything, the lags in the game continue even with the new Anti-cheat files...

    We can only hope that the anti-cheat update will happen in the foreseeable future.
