This happens when you're beating the CPU. If they keep scoring, the game will continue. Should you be competent enough to work around the constant cheating of the CPU, the game shuts down n I always know when it's gonna happen, my CPU fans all of a suddenly start pushing max and the game starts stuttering, giving the AI all sorts of bs opportunities and that's if it doesn't just boot you immediately. It's actually amazing how poorly this game is designed, the feel changes by the minute.
