Ultimate Team stuck on player reveal screen

I completed a SBC challenge and I lost connection.

Now when I log in to Ultimate Team I get taken to the player reveal screen but it just freezes and I can't select any players.

I contacted support and they have told me it is a widespread issue and that there will be an update on Twitter when it is fixed.

Are there other people who are in the same position? I feel like I'm being fobbed off and there isn't a fix being worked on for this.
