Windows 11 - Cannot complete download/install in EA App for FC 25
Pauses at 96%. Failure to install Redistributables is the reason, but they are already installed. I've tried manuallly installing them and it says I already newer version. I think if it was ingnored and allolwed to move on in the download/install it would likely work, but I can't figure out how to get it to progress to the next step.
Didn't work. I spent way too much time on this trying multiple things from experience and searching forums and the web with potential solutions and did not find a way past it. One forum post indicated differences in Steam installed and EA installed versions and succes in one and not the other. I ended up getting a refund and getting it on Steam for the same price and it worked without incident 1st time. EA need to make their installation script/app from the EA App a bit more intelligent to recognize if you have a more recent Redistributable that supercedes the one that was originally issued with the game. That version listed above won't even install on my machine and there are updates after it.
