Not going to lie but going around acting like EA are completely innocent in this is ridiculous. Based on your forums rank, it feels like you are just someone from the community team or dev team trying to save your own egos. All I've seen is you try to pin the blame on us as players, but to counter any argument you make the solution is ridiculously easy. Just make an evo that turns it back into an FSA player. We aren't asking for the world, a free team of the year or anything else. All we want is an evo to correct the mistake so that is doesn't ruin the experience completely.
Creating a conspiracy that I work for EA and judging me based on my "forum rank" 😂 I've not used forums much but have been a player since FIFA 08. I have no affiliation with EA and would never take their side if I believed there was any headroom.
It's simply a case of being a firm believer that if you are going to complain, you should complain about stuff that is actually wrong. Otherwise, complaining loses all meaning. This doesn't apply to this post, but in the space of an half an hour today, I saw 2 new posts from people moaning about how "EA have f***ed up", and doubled down on it when questioned, only to realise after more pressing that they are actually the one that made the mistake, an easy mistake to make at that.
If you don't think it's clear, say it's not clear, as this post has. Saying it's broken and you "definitely only did the FS evo's" when clearly that's not the case, however, is not OK, which is where my other comments are at.
You say "EA aren't innocent", but I'm yet to see how EA have actually done anything wrong besides subjectively lacking a little clarity for some players, OP included. If anything, they've actually done a lot since Evos were added to the game to make sure you don't make these errors, whilst keeping the same freedom of choice for evolutions in general;

HOW? What is that Evo going to look like? "Rarity: Evolutions 2" with a max 84 rating? Congratulations, i'll go stick 4*WF on Ferland Mendy and now I get a 92 rated ICON version with insane stats. They are obviously not going to do this. Undoing Evos hasn't been a thing from the start, probably because it'd be mayhem with their systems and every single evo would have to have full completion history which, seemingly, they currently don't. Implementing this going forward would be a good shout, but I wouldn't expect it to work - look how much they've genuinely messed up Evos to this point with basic functionality. I do agree it would be a useful feature, but it's not something that you could make backwards compatible if the coding isn't already partly there, and definitely not in a short timeframe.
My comment on this post was pointing out how reversing these mistakes is highly unlikely, if it's at all possible. The other comments on other threads are aimed specifically at those who have been inaccurate with their claims.
You are getting that all wrong my man, it's not a conspiracy theory. I'm saying you sound like one. If you want to go make a 92 rated Mendy why not? They are all restricted on what stats you can actually reach anyway so it wouldn't make a difference, and he still wouldn't be better than the likes of Theo Hernandez or someone like that.
I've used quite a few posts to complain on here over the years just check my profile, guess what. They still aren't fixed. Want me to complain about things that are actually wrong fine. How about the consistently inconsistent gameplay? How about goalkeepers being absolute trash for 3 years at least? All because some people can't score without an absolute bot defending the goal. How about timed finishing being completely broken? How about playstyles making certain things completely overpowered? Along with timed finishing it's ridiculously OP. How about EA and their predatory nature in general? How about any good SBC being extremely overpriced in terms of the teams they cost? Why? To force people down a spending hole. I can pretty much go all day.
You say all of the stuff to convert evos is a massive problem, they are a Multi billion dollar corporation that has been building this game for over a decade. You can't tell me they don't know what they are doing.
Want some improvements to the game that would make it more engaging? How about removing untradeable players and making them unsellable, add a swap market for them instead? How about removing timed finishing altogether and just having precision? How about making it so that AI isn't a hand holding tool but something genuinely intuitive? How about taking a couple of years to create a fresh game and actually reset the franchise, rather than just put out the same game as a reskin and change it as they go?
They have the money from players to do so much but instead they just put out half finished bugged trash. If I want to complain that they don't make things clear enough, or if I want to say that there are certain things that are easily possible, it's because I know they are, and I will happily say so.
I've been saying that it's an easy mistake to make, not that they are all under the same tab that's other people. I haven't been agreeing it is broken. The whole point of this event is to build a player that will be a future star, if they release other evos at the same time people may see something they want instead and apply it thinking all will be fine. Tell you what, here is another easy solution for you then. Just remove their stupid evo II card and everything like that. Make it so that an evo is just a little emblem and not something that affects the whole card itself. How does that sound for you?
I have spent quite literally years of my life in game on FIFA and EAFC. It's always been a passion of mine and because of the way I am I get extremely hyper focused when I like something, unhealthily so. EA are at fault for most things in the game because their thinking is limited in terms of what's possible, or because they just want to push it out for more money. They aren't actually taking time to really improve the game, and it's increasingly frustrating. I do apologise, but I'm going to take issue with people that only sound like they are defending a company that just takes dumps on it's player base 90% of the time. There is always headroom to disagree with a company like EA, because most of what they do is predatory and purposely thought out.
I'm not saying you are one, I'm saying you sound like one. I've used these forums to complain about multiple things over the years but nothing happens. I can give you a list of things I think are wrong, and a list of improvements they could make just to make the game more engaging. They are a multi billion dollar company, they have the money to easily rectify most things in the game, but instead they push out slop.
If you want to make a 92 mendy why not? They all have attribute limits, and he still won't be better than Theo Hernandez. I've never said it was broken, or that they were under different tabs. I've said it's far too easy a mistake to make, especially when they are throwing out other evos at the same people will see something else they would like on that card. We don't all want to build the same players as everyone else.
I'll give you a new solution. Remove all of the evo II and everything like it. Just make it an emblem on the card that denotes it has been through an evo. All of the evos have restrictions on what players can be put through them so it wouldn't make a difference. I don't care about my players having a pretty card to look at. I care about them and the game being functional.
I did not say that EA **bleep** up. The design of the Evolution was not incorrect, but at least confusing and not designed clearly - this btw. was even confirmed by an EA community Manager in a different Post.
Also I did not say they should release an Evo that could make any player a FS Player. My suggestion was, that they release this type of evo for the exact list of Players that have been available in this pick. Also another solution would be to just let us choose a second FFS Academy player - we would STILL loose the evos we already applied, but no one else would be impacted negatively in the slightest way, because everyone just gets a second chance.
Of course you can say that it is our own fault - which is true - but still, I think there are multiple potentially easy, non-gamebreaking solutions that can be applied EASILY and the design of this whole Evo was - especially for those that do not play the game every single day - very much misleading. And a game Forum like this is to discuss exactly such matters.
