I agree with your comments Julianxxxxxxxxxx, any comments that sound in disagreement aren't aimed at your post specifically. My initial comment was in response to someone else's suggestion of reversing it or changing the requirements, which I don't think is feasible from a coding point of view, let alone the fact it'd be a sudden implementation of a currently non-existent mechanic.
I can be in agreement with you about them reversing it being a good thing for the community, whilst also pointing out flaws in proposals (like restricting evolution types), pointing out the warnings already in place (rarity requirements being listed, prior warning of the resultant card rarity, separate Evo sections etc), and calling out those who claim to have not messed up and are claiming it's a bug when they have messed up (I know this last point is not applicable to you).
Reality is, a more in-your-face warning in game for any staged evolution card types would be beneficial for specific promos like this, but this particular phenomenon is nothing new - it is something that has been a potential in a lot of previous "staged" evolutions (like anyone who put a cosmetic on the TOTY CB Evo before finishing it, for example), as well as any specific rarity evos (like icon, TOTW or squad mastery) that you can't do if you've used a cosmetic or other evo. On that basis, I think it'll just be ignored.
Yeah, the difference from this evo to the toty cb one for example is, that this one had plenty of options due to the low rating of the card. I think for the toty one, it might‘ve only been like „real“ cosmetic ones as f. e. the season evo. Liked this more, because with the current evo it is very much tempting to just quickly add one Role ++ or stuff like this. Not very intuitive.
