Do features teams count as a match played?
I’m asking if anyone has an answer to this and can I still get points after 12 matches and play a featured squad?

Yes, you get both the featured squad and totw squad in addition to the 12 games. You can also replay both of these as many times as you want to try to get more points at a higher level.
