Falsely banned for cheating

I was just banned from the game after having bought it just hours ago. I got an email saying i was flagged for cheating but it didn't go into any detail at all or give me a specific example of cheating on my end. I had to leave a rivals game because the game wasn't loading after 2 minutes of waiting in a black screen. I was playing with a friend who had to do the same and he wasn't banned. Is there any hope of this being resolved quickly because i was hoping to play over the weekend. I've emailed and i believe i have disputed the ban though i'm not sure because the process isn't clear at all.

Any idea about anything like this in the US? This just happened to me on a differentgame. They denied my appeals and claim I was cheating but cant tell me how I was cheating because that will somehow compromise the integrity of their internal processes. I have zero cheating software. Wouldn't even know how to cheat if i wanted to. I filed a complaint with the better business bureau here but EA dgaf because they aren't accredited anyway. They have 4000 some complaints filed in the last couple years.

I will be going that route if the ban ends up standing after the dispute because I genuinely have not cheated, wouldn't have bought the ultimate edition if I planned to. Which is why it's so baffling that the system flagged me and banned me off the jump. I'll reach out after I eventually hear back and get a ruling from these chumps.

  • I had this a couple of months ago, and i had a massive back and forth with EA. They banned me and then when i appealed it they said that they had made the correct decision and my ban wouldn't be overturned.

Afterwards I sent them a Subject access request (SAR) - which by law they have to provide, stating that I believe that EA Anticheat (EAAC) was scanning data unrelated to the games operation, potentially breaching the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). I listed my concerns which were that EAAC was processing data beyond purpose.

I requested that EA was to send me a detailed account of what EAAC collects and processes. The specific reason for processing this data and the legal basis for doing so under UK GDPR. And clarification on whether EAAC scans or processes data unrelated to EAFC25.

I gave them a statutory 30-day timeframe to respond to this request before I was to escalate to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).

I hope this helps, also i'd only recommend using this if you genuinely haven't cheated, or gone against EA terms of service (ToS). The only this I did that was out of the ordinary was log into my account on the fc25 game on pc to see if my team carried over as i was considering playing the game on PC from ps5.

Long story short my ban was overturned

if you have any questions i'm more than happy to help. just reply to my comment.

Same happened to me today as well. I've been owning the game for some time, played it over 100hrs and did nothing wrong. Last night was a usual play night and then the morning after I was unable to play and saw the same message as you did. In the email EA didn't share any details as well. I've filled the webform as well but I think that it is unfair to perma ban players who did nothing wrong without any proof or detail regarding the ban. I'll be waiting for the team to reach out to me regarding the issue. I also contacted the chat section on the website but unfortunately they can't help either. So, apparently there is no other way than just waiting for the EA team to reach out regarding the appeal for the ban.

  • It happened to me after owning the game for 2 or 3 days by the time I was banned and I’ve just contacted for help on the ea help page I understand that’s probably what you did and I’m not to sure if there’s another way but waiting for them to get back to you

Is there any place that I could call or anything like that to actually talk to someone to try and speed this process up? It's extremely frustrating and unfair to have been flagged and perma banned by EA for no apparent reason after only owning the game for 4 hours.
