FC25 Rivals - Division Relegation

Can someone explain me how division relegation works in Rivals?

I was at the last checkpoint (before promotion) in division 6, already earned 35/35 points, and after season reset  (thursday morning), i was relegated at the begining of division 7. Can someone explain me why this happened and how division relegation works in Rivals at FC25
