Hoping this helps you bro with your squad battles.
I get elite 1 nearly every week and when I play against the cpu my first thought is forget everything you know about playing against a real player.
when i play squad battles i think it's normally like a system like I find myself dribbling less and passing a lot more because if you go within a certain radius of the cpu it's almost and instant tackle. I found the 424 formation to be the most useful as it gives you a line of four players to keep shuffling the ball left to right within them four. I found for me thats the most consistent way of breaking down the cpu defence.
as for defending never run at cpu just try to jockey and stay in front of them as the cpu can turn in ways that even pro players wouldn't manage. But that being said when the game wants you to concede your gonna concede no matter what you do. I often find this happens to me around the 4-0 mark as even if you score that 5th goal conceding that one hurts your points
but i found since the patch squad battles has felt off like even if the cpu takes a weak shot my keeper will parry normally back to them feels like my keeper wont hold shots like he does in other games like rivals.
felt spacing of players has been off like cm's really seem alternate on which one will come back and defend regardless of the role.
hope this helps bro the game has been incredibly frustrating this year and every game can feel like a chore and a drag especially when its not rewarding. Good luck on squad battles this week 🙏🏻
