gloves to goal evo

i have recently claimed the gloves to goal evo and tried to apply it on cech. i have added the base play styles and now can no longer add him into the paid evo? there wasn’t any instruction on the order for the evo to be completed? why does the evo need to be completed in a certain order to begin with.
