HELP!!! High In-Game Latency Despite Low Ping Display...

HELLO, In-game, my ping shows 44ms(Ping is stable during the match.), but I feel like I'm playing at 150ms. Everything happens with a 150ms delay. When I checked the resource monitor during a match, I noticed that my connection was actually around 150ms.

Is this due to lag compensation? I can feel my opponent reacting faster than me. He can catch my faster card with his slower one. I can never dribble past opponents, nor can I sprint past defenders. With 150ms, I can't time my skills properly or make accurate passes. This happens all the time.

I even subscribed to the best-rated ISP in my region, but nothing changed. What should I do?

I'll share a screenshot of my in-game ping and another one from the resource monitor taken during a match.

  • If you have a higher ping than your opponent yeah you will not be reacting as fast. Here is ea explaining it from the help page.

EAS FC uses game data centers so that someone else’s connection doesn’t impact your own gameplay. The game data center handles the distribution of gameplay information to all players.

The center collects inputs from your game at a set interval of time, and then sends this information back to everyone else in a match. This happens at the same time for all players and is determined by their individual connections.

For example, if one player is streaming 4K movies and trying to play on a weak Wi-Fi signal, their activities shouldn’t impact anyone else in that match. The game data center still sends the information back at the same time.

A game data center acts as the host of the match in multiplayer matches.

So like the above if you have 44 or even 150 ping then you will be slower.

Here is a google explanation into why they might be different but I am not sure.

A resource monitor might show a different ping measurement than what appears in a game because the in-game ping is often specifically designed to measure the latency between your computer and the game server, while a resource monitor displays a more general network latency encompassing all network activity, including other applications and background processes running on your computer potentially causing the discrepancy.

Try the connection faq or contact your isp and have them help you try to lower your ping.

I have tried everything in the connection FAQ, but it had no effect. I had already contacted my ISP and I will reach out to them again.
