How the hell do you switch your counter-attack player for defended corners?

Whenever I have to defend a corner against me and my team manages to clear the ball away, the ball gets to my 1 player who is waiting up in the field to go on a counter attack. This sounds ideal, but...

I'd also like to know how to change the near-post player when defending a corner - it's always the smallest player in my team and often they are the player who should be nearer the halfway line for the counter-attack.
