Massive Delay in online play

Got the game today, played last years game without any issues with my controller but i try to play the game regularly now and it's genuinely impossible. Every pass, every switch, every shot has delay, and the worst part is that in the beginning of every game it feels normal, but it just escalates into unplayable nonsense every time i play. I tried going into fullscreen mode, i tried lowering graphics settings but nothing works. Please help 🙂
Controller is an XBOX one i think and I'm playing on PC.
@obnoxioous Same problem for years. The game's online and offline modes are definitely not the same. Online is more laggy and slower.
