Massive Delay in online play

I play on PC. This year so far it seems like I am getting a good 1-2 second delay between inputting a command and players responding anytime I play online. Opponents do not seem to have the same prob...

Hey all,

Delay when playing matches could depend on many different situations. Here, we can help you understand the cause and how to fix it.

  • Check your connection. Be sure you're using a stable connection through Ethernet Cable.
  • Use our Connection Quality Report tool. (LINK)  This page will check your connection's latency/stability and provide Troubleshooting steps to help you improve your response when playing online.
  • Check if yellow or red icons appear at the top of the screen during the game. We give real-time feedback if you're having issues with your connection. 
  • Turn off the Reaction Time Modifier. If it is enabled, go to Game Settings, disable that feature, and try to play a new game.

That is a good point there is so many variables when it comes to connections. Hopefully this thread will fill up with video examples which will help explain to the community what’s going on and what can be done to help.

    The link doesn't work for some reason. But check it out.  Rounder_074 has also explained exactly what Issues I face here... I have this issue ever since I have been playing fc. Not just 25.

    Another issue is for first few mins or until the ball goes out for the first from kick off everything is great! works perfect. But after that I become slower than the opponent.... Today for my surprise it didn't happen.. I was so excited... I had my opponent locked down. He could string 2 passes together cus I was defending well .. and after some time I was back to being slow .......how do you explain this.....
