Pause Bug

I was playing champs and at the first minute I get a red card for one of my center backs. I immediately click pause to readjust my team after what happened, but the game wouldn't let me pause. Because of this I was forced to play with only one center back for the rest of the first half. I don't know if this has happend to anyone else, but it was really annoying because the game could've gone differently.
