How come I restarted in division 8 when I finished in division 6, 2 games away from division 5 yesterday?

Happens at the end of every 'season', you get demoted by at least one division. Keeps us all grinding Rivals games....
Thanks. I thought that might be the case but wasn’t sure. Just as I was on a pretty good run there
