I haven't seen that this is an issue vs. purposefully or accidentally using it on another player. (Some people were trying to add extra boosts to their Maradona and bricked that as well).
I believe all the EVOs specifically for the Future Stars, once claimed go straight into the Future Stars Academy EVO section. Any other EVO's from other objectives go to Cosmetics & Exclusives.
If any of you record your play and could share the actions of claiming and then it going missing, that would do alot to help out!
