I don’t see how that’s logical? Unless you liked being able to play 40 games at say beginner and got above people who could only play say 12 games but played on ultimate? If that’s what you are saying that’s why it needs to be 12.
It’s supposed to be everyone plays an equal amount and whoever gains the most skill points wins not who can play more.

Now you're claiming we "inferior players" who "aren't meant for this game" (the latter your fellow employee claimed) are only complaining because we can't get above better players who can only play for five minutes?

I never said if you are not good you are not meant for this game. But if you are playing on beginner you shouldn’t get rewarded more than someone else better.
If you don’t like the structure that’s one thing but to say becasue you can play 800 games a week you should be rewarded more than a pro who can put in less games but more skill points per games doesn’t make sense.
Your argument is actually why ea needs to lower the amount. It’s no different than having 40 wl games. You shouldn’t get better rewards than a pro who can’t dedicate time over skill. At least a reasonable amount of time I mean nobody is asking for 10 minutes.ive always played squad battles over the years......
it seems they are trying to please the tik tok generation....(that dont want to have to sit playing large number of games)
what im now finding that each and every year i can achieve elite 1.......never ever managed to get to top200.
over 40 or 32 games you have the ability to play poor and loose points but gain them in other games.
only playing 12...or 14 is making it that i cant make a mistake or have a bad game and we all know the ai in squad battles are crazy at times and play like a team of icons even though its a 76 rated team banging top bins shots from 30 yards in a 180` spin.
i gained elite 1 last week by the skin of my teeth.....this week im near 2000 points down so i presume i might make elite 2
with a lot more ppl now gunna play squad battles due to decent rewards and low amount of games the total needed for elite 1 will always be high....
leaving my self wide open to `skill issue`
On the plus side they doubles the games needed for rivals. Personally I think it’s going to be a hassle to play more. You guys might enjoy it more now so could always play it after your squad battles games.
A "pro" is playing the game for a living so would have plenty of time to dedicate to playing.
Secondly someone who is playing more games should definitely be rewarded higher than someone who plays fewer games.
This attitude has led to the got to quit after one game annoyance that happens in friendlies. Where your told that we should be rushing through every objective as fast as possible.
For most people this is a hobby.
Thankfully they lowered the games for rivals and weekend league and didn’t up squad battles. Nobody wants to play 40 games in January of squad battles that you can get the same rewards for 12.
