I got rank 1 in squad battles like I normally do every week but the past 2 days I've been playing 90+ teams on world class difficulty, like always, and all of a sudden it's 10x harder. The CPU plays every pass first time and controls the ball perfectly and shoots perfectly. They play at light speed. It's incredibly difficult to win the ball back. Not only this but for me offensively, not only are they marking every run no matter what, but my attackers are no longer making runs into space and the emphasis on my dribble animations seems insane.Is anyone else experiencing this? It's so random usually I have no trouble with squad battles.

Been like that from the start of this game for me. I know I’m not brilliant in the scheme of things but with the gameplay I see I’ve no idea how people get the points they do to get to the elite levels. Well, that and the thousands of points I lose from the games crashing. Worst bit for me isn’t hugely the orchestral being good it is my players being slowed, tackles not working, soft passing a shooting etc.

I have literally just noticed this today (thought i was going mad) after not playing for a few days as i had completed my 12 games and focused on other game modes. 2 games against legendary teams i would easily beat at least 5 or 6 to nil and i struggled with a 3-2 win and a 4-3 win. The AI was reading every move, running at me full pelt for the whole game and dribbling at insane speed. Then firing missile shots from all angles. A couple of strange things to notice were constant back heel passes by the AI (even on professional) and my players moving out of position (more than normal!).I then beat a 90 team 6-0 on world class and then get beat 3-2 on professional playing an 88 rated team. It was unreal, i literally felt helpless. Constant pressure and harder than legendary - WTF!And then i am losing 2-0 and get back to 2-2 and i get a disconnection. Every week i am generally Elite 2 or Elite 1. However this week i will be fighting for gold!!!Something has definitely changed - for me anyway.

Man, it's completely natural because the game is literally programmed this year to sync defensive players with the ball carrier.This means that as soon as you receive the ball, the game will deliberately slow down your player—even if he’s extremely fast, he will become slow for a while so the game can quickly set up the defensive scenario and let the defenders take the ball from you easily.Everything is scripted—clear scripts. You can even see it in how they develop the game. When they show you an image with a red player and a blue player, those are specific in-game situations that they tweak in a certain way to create pre-set scenarios.What’s worse is that they now control the ball carrier. They’ve become more shameless than ever—it’s more blatant now. They actively manipulate the ball carrier’s abilities, making him feel heavy, slow, unable to turn, unable to dribble. Even skill moves and dribbling animations are noticeably slowed down.The simplest example of this is in Squad Battles. Try playing on the highest difficulty (Ultimate) against bronze players. You’ll see how the game drastically slows down your fast players, while these bronzes can easily keep up with you as if there’s no difference in stats at all.You’ll also notice that they increase your team’s passing errors significantly, while the AI’s passing becomes nearly flawless—not a single mistake, even though they’re just bronze players!That’s why this game is terrible—full of errors, input delay, scripting, unresponsive controls, player sluggishness—every possible bad thing you can think of.Even the so-called "pro players" they feature in tournaments all play the exact same way—just spamming the X button and doing ground passes the whole time. They all play alike, the same repetitive style.Honestly, this game is embarrassing.

I thought I was crazy. Same boat. Play the bronze teams on legendary- the higher rated ones at World Class. Always won 5-0 or 5-1. This morning, went to extra time twice and barely won 3-2. The AI defense somehow got incredibly good. Skill moves don't work, no open space, nothing-- the keepers save EVERYTHING and once you do break through, your shot from 5 yards hits the post or goes wide. So frustrating. But I'm sure it was part of an EA "fix." Didn't they just "fix" the nerfed auto steal-back problem? This morning, you had to win the ball 4 or 5 times just to keep possession, because AI stole it back every time. So not like the real game

It might not be a skill issue. Didn’t they recently patch it. Maybe it just takes some time to get used to it.

What did the patch notes say? I don’t think it changed difficulty but might of missed it.

I thought I was the only one experiencing it... Pretty much feels like my players drag when moving and to score goals have suddenly become difficult in World Class and Legendary levels....

News just in, this game flat out cheats because EA cannot make a competitive game otherwise.

Even EA themselves have given up trying to defend their own game, because they know the player base is right when they point it out.
