Why didn't i start in Div 10 like every other year? UT Rivals

I only just recently bought the game as it was on sale and mainly wanted to play clubs (60% off and still not worth the money at this point tbh)

Went to play my first game on ultimate team rivals and I was in div 6, having not played since (about a week) I've been relegated down to div 7, I don't really want to have to wait 3 more weeks without playing to be where i should have been in the first place.

Why didn't i start in Div 10 like every other year? Surely this is a bug and not intentional right?

I find the gameplay worse than any other year so far, obviously it's new to me and i have no idea whats good but still it feels very slow and clunky, and then combining that with having to play people and teams far better than me just makes me want to play even less

    So by protecting the real div 10 they've ruined it for me and I have to suffer because i played a lot last year,

    why not just let me be in 10 and if its too easy i'd get promoted out really quickly? Isn't that the point of there being divisions?

    Anyway I guess i'll look at the positive, at least i won't have this problem next year :/

    @thehodgeinator1 What was your highest division? I believe to start in 7 you had to make it to d 2 or lower. It’s really not fair for you to be playing a d10 player. It also doesn’t help that you are starting halfway through the year. The plus is you can get a good team in about a few days since they are almost all discard.
