Congratulations, designers - you've made it less fun
I noticed early on many people describing how unplayable the ai is at world class. I thought I would improve and I always dominate games typically with 60% possession and twice as many shots and higher xG than the AI but AI decides in its own favour.
The game essentially controls the keeper - whether he saves, catches, parries to a striker, etc. And the game routinely hands the victory to AI.
I dominate - never actually outplayed. The AI goalie plays the game of its life - every game. And I lose 1-0 or 2-1 to the one or two shots the AI manages to get together. And 90% of the goals are parries - which I have no control over, essentially handing an open goal to the AI.
The difference between levels is too steep. If I drop a level, I win 13-0. I have played with the sliders. But it's more about the AI itself, literally controlling the game's outcomes. I never experienced anything like this with previous versions.
And here's the punchline for the brain surgeons who thought that this steep ramp was a good idea and have stuck to it for a year despite the complaints. IT CEASES TO BE SOMETHING THAT i WANT TO PLAY. IT'S NOT FUN TO OUTPLAY THE AI AND THEN TO LOSE BECAUSE THE AI/GAME SIMPLY DECIDES TO FAVOUR THE OPPONENT. I AM NOT MAKING THIS UP OR MERELY DEFENDING MYSELF.
Here's the feedback. Mess up again and I will have no further interest in engaging with your complacent product
