Ideas on how to make more players invested
I think EA should continue focusing on the small details that make sports games feel more realistic and immersive. One of the biggest improvements would be separating body type from weight so players can choose lean, slim, athletic, muscular, or bigger builds independently of their listed weight, allowing users to create realistic player archetypes like Justin Jefferson, DeVonta Smith, Odell Beckham Jr., Malik Nabers, or Tom Brady without relying on glitches. I would also like to see dynamic body types that naturally change over a career based on training and progression, along with a more advanced equipment customization system similar to NBA 2K’s creator where all equipment, colors, and accessories can be edited from one screen with a live preview and saved presets. Features like improved route anticipation, smarter zone coverage, realistic catching mechanics, expanded position options in career modes, more equipment choices, and deeper player customization make the game feel more authentic and help players create unique athletes instead of generic builds. The small details are what keep players invested long-term and make the game feel like real football rather than just another yearly release.
