EA SPORTS FC™ TeamThe recent Holiday Update was a great step in adding ten new Classic XI squads to the game. However, it is deeply disappointing that these teams—along with the previously available Soccer Aid team—are completely missing from Online Friendlies.
Many of us purchased EA SPORTS FC 26 specifically to play with these legendary rosters against our friends who live in different cities. Currently, these teams are locked to local Kick-Off only. This feels like a massive oversight for several reasons:
Regression of Features: In previous titles, we could use special teams (like Soccer Aid) online. Removing this functionality in FC 26 is a step backward for the casual player base.
Inconsistency: These teams exist in the game database and work perfectly in Kick-Off. There is no technical reason they should be excluded from a non-competitive, "just-for-fun" mode like Online Friendlies.
Community Demand: Online Friendlies is the primary way many "Legacy" players enjoy the game. Locking the best content behind local-only play ignores a huge portion of your community.
Can we please get a confirmation from the dev team on the following:
Is the removal of Classic Teams from Online Friendlies a bug or an intentional design choice?
Are there plans to enable the 10 new Classic XI squads for online play in a future Title Update?
We appreciate the new content, but we want to be able to use it with our friends online. A simple "Yes/No" or "Under Investigation" would go a long way in managing expectations.
