I've been playing EA Sports FC (Fifa)for many years and wanted to share a few ideas that could make the online mode more realistic and motivating in the long run.
1. Online league with own teams
A big innovation would be an online league mode in which players can create their own leagues. For example, 10-20 players could join forces and play a solid league together.
Possible functions:
• Each player controls their own team
• Every real player exists only once within the league
• League-internal transfer market
• Transfers, loans and contract terms
• Fixed seasonal operation with schedule and table
• Optional rules such as transfer windows, budget limits or financial fair play
This would significantly increase the realism and would be especially interesting for groups of friends and long-term online players.
2. Sponsor and supplier contracts
In addition, a sponsor and supplier system would make sense to earn money and create more management depth:
• Jersey, supplier and main sponsor contracts
• Different revenues depending on success, table position or popularity
• Bonus payments for titles, wins or good rankings
• Long-term contracts with opportunities and risks
In this way, revenues could be generated more realistically and strategic decisions could become more important - similar to real professional football.
In my opinion, these features would significantly enhance EA Sports FC and bind the community more strongly in the long run.
What do you think about this?
