This game is crap!
Dear EA. Playing FC 26 Ultimate Team is a miserable experience for me, mostly because the game still feels fundamentally broken. Defenders move as if they're on ice skates, sliding around without balance or control, and not matter how well you position them, they never quite respond the way you need. Tackles bounce back straight to the opponent, jockeying feels clunky, and when you commit to a challenge, you're more likely to be punished then rewarded. It doesn't feel like defending with intelligence or skill, it feels like gambling against bad physics. Going forward isn't any better. The attacking AI is borderline useless. Players don't make the runs you expect, they stand still at the edge of the box, and even when you set instructions, they seem to ignore them. Through balls get wasted because attackers don't react quickly enough, and build up play constantly breaks down because teammates refuse to offer any meaningful support. It's basically like trying to play one versus eleven, and the lack of reliable movement kills any sense of fluidity. Then there's the much touted ++ roles. Honestly, they barely make a difference. EA tries to sell them as this big tactical layer, but in practice, they're little more than a gimmick. Whether or not a player has a ++ boost, the gameplay doesn't feel any different, and it comes across more as a marketing feature than something that actually improves the experience on the pitch. All of this combines into something deeply frustrating. Matches rarely feel fair or enjoyable and instead of rewarding skill, the game punishes you with random rebounds, sluggish AI, and mechanics that never seem under your control. It's hard not to hate it when every game feels like a fight against the engine rather than the opponent.
