there is no tactic depth low as even on depth 1 the defenders stand at the middle line ^^ also on depth 1 the cm are not aloud to defend at the own box as they have an invisible barrier that they can't cross. This is why you gotta control the cm manually run back to goal and then the next as even on holding instructions they don't defend and stand infront of the ball. Also try shooting trough defenders as they jump away most of the times :/ the tactics menu are the worst they have ever been as you can't really give any instructions. every player has 1 option for offence with a terrible defence option or the opposite :( in real football you get about 10 different instructions for offence and then 10 more for defence but this is too difficult with all that technological improvement LOL in fifa 22 it was possible to do at least 1 for offense and 1 for defense but progress XD
The smart way to solve this is by making outside the box shots more effective so that you can counter a low box playstyle and it would look maybe like a sport with the name football compared to this handball gameplay passing around a wall until the wall breaks and then you got a chance ^^ they managed to do this before when the finesse shot meta was a thing and you had to defend further forward but this was to difficult for the kids who don't know the sport so it got changed -_- and the other thing is that with depth 1 every player actually moves to depth 1 so that you get a free midfield to control the ball and would be alloud to pass with 100% accuracy as there is no pressure on the ball.
It saddly shows a lot that EA don't know what football is ^^ players tackle like ice hockey defenders run arround like it's futsal and the goalkeeper is playing volleyball :/
the other problem is that the game was made arround 10 years ago with just little changes to the code as ea has 2 games nowadays that they change between every year as you can clearly notice the same bugs appearing every other year so as long as they don't have the goal to make a good game the game just get's worse and worse as there is so much unneeded code in the background which is also causing all this input lag
