Why is the AI in squad battles so bad?

I play squad battles to not have to deal with sweaty players all the time. Yet the AI in this gets worse year after year. I cross the ball it hits an imaginary wall and then ends up magically at the AI’s feet. How does this company continue to lie about improvements and feel good about it? Fix your game for once!
