Wide CAM (LAM and RAM) roles

The CAMs in a 4222 always play wide in attack, regardless of role, which just makes it closer to a 424, and arguably defeats the point of the formation. The same goes for 4231 even though both formations are designed to be narrow. It would be great if on playmaker balanced/buildup and classic 10 attack in particular if they stayed more central as these roles have nothing signifying they should be wide. 

Also, the lack of defensive output for the LAM and RAM positions would be unrealistic for real life, as these roles would typically defend more like LM and RM, and from an in game perspective it makes these formations unusable as you get carved open way too easily defensively. Older games, before the new tactics system in FC 25, would typically make both formations defend like a 442, and we also had the option of telling these wide CAMs to come back on defence or to stay forwards. A shift back towards the LM/RM style defensive behaviour for the wide CAMs would be beneficial for balancing some of the current weakest formations in the game.

Those old options of come back on defence and stay forwards, paired with the current player roles in attack, could be a really good way to do this and could be balanced with stamina impact, e.g come back on defence on a shadow striker attack CAM would drain stamina more as they have an attack role with the ball and a defend one without, but overall, at the very least, a tweak to LAM and RAM roles to attack more centrally and defend a bit more is necessary to make formations using them a more suitable option.
