Player Career – cannot play LM in 4-2-3-1 teams, only ST available

Yeah I find the new archetypes really restrict where your player can actually play, limiting player choice and making the game less immersive. In real life, managers often have players play out of position as a result of injuries, to develop players or to try out specific tactics. 

In trying to give players choice, they've actually restricted it.

Out of interest, have you thought about just making a winger and playing them like an inverted winger who cuts inside and plays like a forward? I admit it's not a 'solution' and I haven't played much (because I'm finding player career even worse this year) but it seems you can just ignore all the archetype stuff and still just do what you want in any position.  

Yes, I understand, but for example if I want to play for Real and the only available spot is as a striker, that would mean Mbappé wouldn’t play. That’s why I wrote on the forum to ask if this could be fixed, either by allowing us to edit formations before starting a career (like in previous years) or by giving the option to select an exact position in the lineup, not just limited ones. I don’t think it’s such a big deal, and it would make the game feel more realistic. Thanks for your comment, here’s hoping it gets noticed on the forum.

Yeah I do get where you're coming from and I share your frustration. I hope your feedback gets noticed and taken into consideration.
