Career mode
Since playing FC26 I have only been able to score 1 goal from outside the box as the keepers save everything you shoot from long range. Now because you can only score goals in the box im scoring the same boring goals from inside the box every game. The standing tackle has a delay when preforming it as you used to could double click the standing tackle button and it would preform a quick standing tackle now the player is taking its time to get back up from the standing tackle and by that time the offensive opponent has gone with the ball. Im getting stupid camera angles coming up when replaying a goal. Also the when you want to add a player to your list of possible transfers the whole thing is messed up when you shortlist. SORT IT OUT EA PLEASE...dont let me have to start playing Efootball 26What's Happening in your Career Mode?
Been some time since I've checked in here and it's great to see some Career Mode Stories going again. Miss being apart of the community, unfortunately I don't have the time to keep up with writing about my careers just crack on and play them when I have a chance to actually play. I will certainly be catching up on the stories posted soon. Anyways, I created this thread for anyone who wishes to share what's going on in their Career Modes without going in depth just wanna keep it brief etc. Currently I'm doing a Career with Blackpool and it's been bonkers so far. Took over live start in a relegation battle and after a slow start had a ridiculous winning streak and ended up winning The League One Playoffs. 2nd season started off strong in Championship but form slipped however somehow made a late surge into the playoffs and back to back promotions via Wembley it was. Small budget in Prem was never expecting much and been in a relegation battle all season Currently 18th with 6 games to go and 3 points behind. Maybe back to The Championship, however after fluking our way through The Carabao Cup winning Penalty shoot outs in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds against lower league opponents we surprised Man City over 2 legs in the semi finals to set up final against Arsenal. An early go from Blackpool and some lucky defending and we win. Crazy season, could be relegation, but we have European football next season 🤷♂️🤦🤣 Anyways, what's everyone else up to? Also looking forward to reading through those CMS Threads, last time I came no one was around so am happy to see some of you still going.
Manager Career Mode (Create Your Club)
I'm so disappointed with FC 26. I yet have not bought the game because is not worth my money. My favorite de is Manager Career Mode, In particular I like to create my own club. A make believe Club Starting it from scratch and becoming a number one In the world. But the game mode is to shallow. No Sorry behind it. Ro recognizing the wins losses falls or retirement for the manager or club. No story on how the club came to be to were it is at the end. No upgradeable Stadium or better customization. Same thing with the uniforms. Where is the creativity. Why can't I create my own kit or at least add my own colors and not just pick from what the game gives like in FC25. And the Crest (Shields, Logos) for the club. Is the same as last year. Not even the the option to upload your own. This year I'm skipping FC and looking for other options were I can personalized my club from the Shield logo to the stadium. I'm really disappointed on what this game has become. I place the beta and PLA if it at my brother's house that only bought it because it was $36 and haven't played it since FIFA. Even himself though that it would be a gigantic Change but it actually got him mad there was no Liga MX. ("Look at the Reviews People") But for someone like me that been playing it since 2006 Fifa Worlds Cup [2006] that got me in to the FIFA games Starting with FIFA 10 [2009] the now game FC26 is not Worth my Money or Time. PS: what the hell happen to the FIFA World Cup games Brazil 2014 that game was magic! I hope the make a game that concentrate on Creating your own club and make a story of it were you can upgrade your stadium your club your glory till then lest see what's out of EA. Thank you.
Still No Fix for the Career Mode Boots Bug – Are We Invisible?
Hey everyone, Has anyone heard anything official from EA about the boots color bug in Career Mode? Every single player still shows up with generic black boots — no brand, no color, no personality — and it completely kills the immersion. This isn’t some minor detail. For Career Mode players who care about realism and identity, it ruins the entire vibe. We spend hours customizing kits, storylines, and lineups… only for everyone to look the same. We’ve seen patch after patch for Ultimate Team — but zero mentions of this issue in any of the updates. It’s been months since release, and nothing. EA, if anyone from the team is reading this: please at least acknowledge the problem. We’re not asking for new features — just for the mode to look and feel like football again. We’re a huge part of the FC community — players who buy the game every year specifically for Career Mode. We’re not here for Ultimate Team or online packs. We pay full price from our own pockets because we love building clubs, stories, and realism. It’s frustrating to feel like this entire part of the player base is being ignored. Anyone else here as frustrated as I am? Key issues faced: Consistent lack of logic in contract negotiations with players. Consistent lack of notification/message when players initially wish to alter their contract details. Frequency of players requesting new/improved contracts (both different and same players). Inability to resolve players' dissatisfaction through agreeing a new contract. Explanation of issues: Have had at least 6 players request new/improved contracts over the course of (less than) a single season of manager career mode. This includes players who didn't play at all, played a lot, had expiring contracts, did not have expiring contracts (i.e. I could not identify the logic behind their common desire for new contracts). At least 3 of the players either requested improved terms twice within the space of 6 in-game months (meaning the game prevented me from acquescing to their demands) OR did not have their dissatisfaction resolved once they had been offered a new contract. For most of the players (all bar one, I believe), I did not receive any notification informing me of their dissatisfaction with their contract before the "you promised to handle my contract situation" notification, which causes the player to be transfer listed. I can be confident that I did not miss the initial messages, as I have not simulated any games or used calendar sim at all. This means either the messages with players did not come up as notifications on the "home" tab (which I assume would not be an intended feature), or, alternatively, they were simply not sent before the follow-up messages (which would definitely not be an intended feature). As mentioned, I have had at least 6 players request new contracts over the course of less than a season, which already seems excessive on the face of it and does not reflect reality. However, what is significantly more concerning is that some of the players requested new contracts twice, within weeks (days in one case) of having received the previous contract. As you will know, it is impossible to negotiate two contract renewals with the same player in such quick succession in career mode (multiple months must pass between successful attempts), meaning this occurrence is not only severely unrealistic, but also entirely unresolvable. Thus, the board takes over responsibility for the players' future as I am simply unable to offer them a new contract, due to having agreed one very recently. If this is an intended feature (which is unlikely due to its illogical nature), I think it should be amended/reigned in in order to better reflect real life. Finally, another major issue is that for some players, even negotiating a new + improved contract did not resolve the issue of their dissatisfaction. In one specific case I negotiated a new contract with a player and, despite them signing this contract, I still could not remove them from the transfer list. However, I remain unable to renew their contract again, as I have done so too recently. Explanation of Attachments Attachment 1 demonstrates the conversation in messages with player Ryan Gravenberch concerning his contract status. While I was not able to reply to the message about the contract, I was able to reply to the subsequent message about the return from injury. It also demonstrates the lack of a message confirming the receipt of the new contract and his subsequent happiness. Attachment 2 demonstrates that Gravenberch is happy with his contract, but nonetheless remains transfer listed by his own request, meaning I cannot remove him from the transfer list. Attachment 3 demonstrates that I am unable to negotiate with Gravenberch, due to having recently agreed a new contract with him. Attachment 4 demonstrates the conversation with player Mohamed Salah, showing him requesting a new contract straight after having a new one agreed previously. Attachments 5 and 6 demonstrate inability to negotiate new contract with Salah and the fact that he remains transfer listed by his own volition despite being happy with his contract status.Rush problem
Rush might be one of the most unenjoyable game modes on FC, the reason is the player base. Sometimes when I want to complete evolutions or want the free packs you can get by accumulating rush points each week, I will force myself to play the game mode and by about 2/3 games in the experience would have hit a level of unbearableness that I decide its just better to evo my players in Rivals and not collect the free (not free because you are forced to spend time) rewards for hitting --- Rush points. It has been the exact same since rush was introduced where a individual player out of the 4 you are matched with can ruin the experience for the other 3 forcing people to afk or just straight up leave. trying to dribble every time on the ball without actual knowledge of how to dribble on the game in positions where if tackled they are 1 on 1 with the keeper seems to be the go to play these guys do. it genuinely makes the experience unbearable and currently there is nothing implemented to resolve or improve the game mode ( I know this game mode means nothing but if you win a game you get around 2x more points than losing which means your completing the challenge in half the games) I am no game dev and I also do not mind players being bad at the game but when people act certain ways ruining experiences for other consumers out of spite, it is typically not good for the growth or health of the game and needs to be dealt with. Especially if its having a effect on the level of fun other players are having whilst playing your game. Here are a few things you could implement that would drastically change the experience players are having in this game mode. A vote to kick system that requires 3 of the 4 players to vote yes on a player and remove them from the match a few offences are let off the hook but then give a 5 minute ban to players from only the rush game mode potentially scaling ( it wouldn't be right to ban a player from playing any other game mode) A report system that actually works or has a certain effect on a account that will only que them with other accounts that are being reported for match throwing as much as they are and allow them to all just ruin the experience for each other. Potentially a thumbs up or thumbs down system at the end of the match could be a easier way to implement something like this. Option 1 would solve this problem overnight but is quiet a extreme option Option 2 would allow players to feel what they are doing to other people and potentially change there ways. Currently the rush game mode unless queuing with friends is probably 7 times out of 10 a painful experience and its never anything to do with the score line.CM Story - The Story of Josh McEwen
Wolverhampton Wanderers have confirmed the departure of Vitor Pereira as head coach following their 2-0 away lose to Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. The club have acted fast in replacing Vitor Periera with unknown manager Josh McEwen taking the reigns must to the disappointment of Wolves fans who are concerned that an unknown manager with no experience has been handed the tough task of saving Wolves from relegation woth a number of supporters clubs already criticising the appointment. A statement from Wolves was released earlier this morning. Wolverhampton Wanderers can confirm that Vitor Pereira has left his position as head coach by mutual consent. The club wishes to express its gratitude to Vitor for his dedication and hard work during his tenure at Molineux. This decision comes after a period in which results have unfortunately fallen short of both the club’s and supporters’ expectations. After careful consideration, the club’s leadership felt that a change was necessary not only to address immediate challenges on the pitch, but also to lay a stronger foundation for the long-term progress and success of Wolverhampton Wanderers. In light of this, the club is pleased to announce the appointment of Josh McEwen, as Vitor’s successor. The club believes that Josh’s fresh approach and vision can help to turn the season around, instil renewed confidence in the squad, and set a positive course for the future. Wolverhampton Wanderers are committed to supporting Josh as he takes on this role and look forward to the next chapter under his leadership. Josh added a brief statement saying “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity to manage Wolves, it is a club that belongs in the Premier league and our whole focus is on helping improve both performance and results on the pitch to ensure the club is still in the Premier League next season. Some questions/comments about Career Mode Create a Club: When are we going to get an update to the kits and badges? You already have a bunch of options from ultimate team that you could bring over so it shouldn't be too much work. The badges haven't been updated in a long time. We should be able to change the pants colors separately than the kits and socks. Bonus: There should be an option to add a kit that you can change every year to an existing team in career mode as well.No stamina penalty has ruined Clubs Mode
Who in their right mind thought it was a good idea to get rid of cumulative stamina? It's right up there with one of the most awful decisions developers have ever made in any game, ever. Gameplay now reminds me of the schoolyard when I was 11. Everyone now just sprints full speed, non-stop, without penalty. Both halves of gameplay are exactly the same now. Fix this immediately. On a separate note, the archetypes system is awful and clearly aimed at sucking even more money out of us. Despicable. I’m not sure how they released this game and think it’s improved since FIFA 2007. The gameplay is a total mess — it needs to go back to basics, removing all the hidden sliders that influence matches and just using the players’ actual stats. You have competitive (online mode basically so utterly awful) then authentic, and custom modes, but the last two feel the same, with the CPU passing flawlessly and endlessly, whether it’s Man City or Chesterfield. No team ever punts the ball long, goes wide, or puts in crosses. No matter what you do with the sliders, it’s just rinse and repeat. This year has the least variety in gameplay I’ve seen in years, and the whole thing has become so overly complicated while changes make almost no difference. For example, I turned the CPU pass error up to 99, and it still completed 126 out of 130 passes in 90 minutes. Seriously, what’s the point? Please remove the issue where simulating a league game almost always results in a bad outcome if the next match is a cup game. It’s ridiculous—I had a 3-star team playing Chesterfield and lost four simulations with scores of 2-0, 2-0, 4-1, and 4-2, regardless of tactics. My goalkeeper was rated 78, and my overall player rating was above 68. Chesterfield doesn’t even have a player rated over 64! This problem has always existed, but it’s been especially awful this year. General Points Completely overhaul the game with a fresh approach—hold an open forum with dedicated career mode players who log over 1,000 hours annually and gather real-world feedback. Every year, changes are made that hardly anyone wants, like altering gameplay menus that were perfectly fine in FC Sport 24. Remove all sliders and hidden sliders, relying solely on player stats for an release and see how it is taken by the fans. Make the editor completely free of limitations—if someone wants to create a player with great stats, tattoos, and playstyles, just let them do it. Revert the editor to the FC Sport 24 style, as current players now look like the cast of Lord of the Rings, likely consuming unnecessary memory and space that could be better used to improve the game. Add some incentives to keep playing career mode, here's a few ideas. Manager rating - start with 1 star and work your way up to glory, You could start and work your way up, also this could add a minus 10% to player stats if you are new manager to make it harder etc, and a 5 star manager with trophus to his name could add 5 0r 10% to players stats, rewards for completing actions meet board demans etc etc, you could go to town with this one. here are some improvements you could look at moving forward : Player interactions could feel less robotic, with more impactful actions that influence emotions and decisions. Add in-game reactions with an option to turn them on or off, allowing players to choose how to respond during fouls. The player editor should focus more on abilities and customizable play styles, not just physical appearance, which was already great in FC Sport 24. For player careers, include off-pitch elements like buying and decorating a home, showcasing trophies, marriage, and other life events to make saves last longer and feel more immersive. This game really needs a change in direction. People here get very defensive about it, yet they let EA get away with such insignificant improvements that it’s like we’ve all gotten used to a ridiculously low standard. Compare the options we had back in 2007 to now—it just keeps getting worse every year, and it has to stop.Change in the number of substitutes in the game
A change that needs to be made in a manager's career is to add more substitutes like in reality. It is very difficult to manage the team during a game when you only have 9 substitutes and no more. I think that 5 more substitutes should be added in addition to the 9 that are already in the game.
